PawValid

BUILDING

An automated pet travel documentation and international pet health certificate compliance verification tool on pawvalid.online.

What is it?

PawValid (pawvalid.online) is an automated pet travel compliance tool designed to help pet owners navigate complex international veterinary health certificates, rabies titer testing timelines, microchip standards (ISO 11784/11785), and quarantine regulations across global immigration corridors.

Why did I build it?

While conducting regulatory research for VisaReadyNow, I observed a parallel, high-friction compliance problem in international pet relocation:

  1. Fragmented Bureaucracy: Every country enforces distinct veterinary protocols (USDA APHIS in the US, CFIA in Canada, DEFRA in the UK, and EU Pet Travel Schemes).
  2. Timing Risks: Rabies neutralizing antibody titer tests (RNATT) must often be completed 30 to 180 days in advance, leading to costly airport rejections or quarantine if timeline calculations are off by even a few days.
  3. High Intent Demand: Pet owners actively search for clear, reliable verification checklists before booking international flights.

Current Focus & Architecture

  • Rules Engine: Structuring bilateral pet import and export rules (vaccination windows, endorsement requirements, tapeworm treatment timings).
  • UI/UX Optimization: Designing a step-by-step route checker where owners input origin, destination, and departure dates to get a tailored compliance timeline.
  • SEO & Distribution: Building programmatic travel corridor landing pages to capture high-intent pet immigration searches organically.
